Platy OS

Lawn care software

Software that runs the whole company, not one corner of it.

Most landscaping businesses are running five or six tools that do not speak to each other, and the owner is the integration. Platy is one system: the quote becomes the job, the job becomes the invoice, and the payment lands in your books without anybody retyping it.

$297/month, per company, unlimited users, no per-seat pricing. Month to month. Cancel anytime. No setup fee.

The problem is not any one tool. It is the gaps between them.

Ask an owner what they use and the list comes out the same way every time: a spreadsheet for pricing, a calendar for the schedule, a group text for the crew, an invoicing app, a separate card reader, and a shoebox that becomes the accountant’s problem in January. Each of those is fine at its own job. The cost is not in the tools, it is in the six places the same job has to be typed, and in the fact that no single screen can tell you what the week actually looks like.

The work that falls through does not fall through inside a tool. It falls through between two of them: the quote that was approved on the phone and never booked, the job that was finished and never invoiced, the invoice that was paid and never matched to the job. Every one of those is a gap, and every gap is the owner remembering.

One record, from the first phone call to the deposit.

In Platy, a client is one record and the work hangs off it. Price a job and it saves as a draft quote on that client. Send the quote and they approve it in their own login. Approving it turns it into a job you can schedule; scheduling it puts it in a crew’s day in an order the truck can drive; finishing it produces a real PDF invoice; paying that invoice puts the money in your own Stripe account and the transaction in your books.

Nothing in that chain is an export, an integration, or a sync that runs at midnight. It is the same record moving through the states a job actually has, which is why nothing has to be retyped and why the number on the invoice is the number that was quoted.

Built by people who had to run the route the next morning.

Platy was built inside a working landscaping company, which is a claim every vendor in this category makes and which shows up in small places. The crew app assumes the signal will drop, because in a back yard behind a treeline it does. The schedule orders the day into a loop rather than a list, because a list is not a route. The books read the bank feed rather than asking anyone to categorise receipts in the evening, because nobody does.

The same instinct is why the price is one number. There is no per-seat charge, so putting the whole crew on it costs nothing extra, and nobody has to decide which foreman is worth a license.

What it does not do, said plainly.

Platy does not track time and nothing in it clocks a crew in or out. It runs no marketing campaigns and no email campaigns, it does not chase reviews, and there is no sales pipeline board. There is no automated import from another vendor’s system, so moving your price list and client list across is real work you do once, and it is worth knowing that before you sign up rather than after.

Job costing works for the jobs where you have captured the costs, which is an honest way of saying it is as good as what you put into it. Everything else on this page is shipped and you can watch it run before you pay for it.

Everything, for $297 a month.

One price, one bill, and the whole crew on it. There is no starter tier missing the part you need and no per-seat line that grows every time you hire.

Questions owners ask

Is this a CRM, a field service app, or accounting software?
All three, which is the point. Most companies in this trade buy a CRM for the client list, a field service tool for the schedule and the crew, and something separate for the books, then spend their evenings moving numbers between them. Platy is one system doing all of it, so a quote, the job it becomes, the invoice it produces and the transaction in your P&L are the same record rather than four copies of it.
How much does it cost, and is there a per-user charge?
$297 a month for the company, with unlimited users. There is no per-seat pricing, so adding a crew lead or a second office person costs nothing. Month to month. Cancel anytime. No setup fee.
Can I move my clients and prices over from what I use now?
You can load them, and you should plan an evening for it. There is no automated import from another vendor’s system, so your client list and your material prices go in once, by hand or from a file you prepare. It is the least pleasant part of switching and we would rather you knew that up front than found out on day two.
Will my crew actually use it?
The crew app is one screen per stop: where, what, the notes, and done. It works offline, so a back yard with no bars does not stop the day, and it syncs when the phone finds signal again. There is nothing to clock into and no timesheet to fill in, because Platy does not track time at all.
Where does the money actually go?
Into your own Stripe account. Your customer’s statement shows your name, and the money never passes through us. We are not the merchant of record and we do not hold your funds.
Can I see it working before I pay?
Yes. Every recording on this site is the real software running against a demo landscaping company we made up for the purpose, and the label on every player says so. Nothing on screen is another company’s numbers.

Price your first real job tonight.

A demo company proves the software works. Your own numbers prove it works for you. Put one real job through it and you will know inside an evening.
