Invoicing and getting paid

Invoicing that ends with the money in your account.

A finished job becomes a real PDF invoice your customer can open, read and pay online. The card lands in your own Stripe account, their statement shows your name, and the money never passes through us.

$297/month, per company, unlimited users, no per-seat pricing. Month to month. Cancel anytime. No setup fee.

The invoice and the customer’s hub
The real software as you can get it today. The demo company is fictitious and the figures are theirs.

The real software, recorded against a demo landscaping company. Every figure on screen is theirs and the company is fictitious.

The slow part of getting paid is the part before the invoice.

Most late payment in this trade is not a customer refusing to pay. It is an invoice that went out eleven days after the work was finished, because the person who knew what was done was on a mower and the person who writes invoices was waiting to be told.

Every day between finishing and invoicing is a day of your money sitting in somebody else’s account, and it is the cheapest thing in the whole business to fix, because it costs nothing but not having to retype the job.

The invoice is the job, not a document about the job.

A job in Platy already knows the client, the address, the work and the price, because it came from a quote the customer approved. Finishing it produces the invoice from what is already there. Nobody opens a second app, and nobody reads a line item off one screen to type it into another.

What the customer receives is a real PDF, not a link to a screenshot: something they can open, read, save, and hand to their own bookkeeper without asking you for a copy in a different format.

They pay on the invoice, and it goes to you.

Your customer can pay the invoice online with a card, and the charge goes directly into your own Stripe account. Their statement shows your business name. The money does not route through Platy, we do not hold it, and we do not take a cut of it.

That is a deliberate structure rather than a feature. A system that sits in the middle of your payments is a system that can hold your money when something goes wrong with it. This one cannot, because it is never in the path.

And they can pay without phoning you.

Every customer gets their own login. They open it to approve a quote, pay an invoice, save a card for next time, and ask for more work. That last one matters more than it sounds: the request arrives as a job you can quote instead of a voicemail somebody has to remember to return.

Repeat customers who have already saved a card are the difference between an invoice paid the same week and an invoice paid whenever they next sit down at a desk.

What the money side gives you.

Questions owners ask

Do you take a percentage of my payments?
No. Charges go directly into your own Stripe account and we do not take a cut. You pay Stripe’s own processing fee, the same as you would if you used Stripe on your own. Platy is $297 a month and that is the whole bill from us.
Whose name is on my customer’s statement?
Yours. The charge is on your Stripe account, so it carries your business name. Your customer never sees ours, which is also why they do not call us when they have a question about a charge.
Do you hold my money before it reaches me?
No, at any point. Platy is not in the payment path, is not the merchant of record, and holds no funds. Stripe pays out to your bank on your own Stripe payout schedule.
Can a customer pay without creating an account?
The invoice they receive is a real PDF they can open and read without logging in anywhere. The customer hub, where they approve quotes, pay, save a card and request more work, is their own login.
Does the payment show up in my books automatically?
Yes. Your books build from your bank feed, so the payment lands there as a transaction without anybody re-entering it. That is the point of it being one system.
Do you store my customer’s card number?
No. Card details go to Stripe and card numbers never touch our servers. When a customer saves a card for next time, Stripe holds it, not us.

The rest of the same system

Platy is one system, so none of these is a separate product or a separate bill. They are the other jobs the same software is doing while it does this one.

Send one real invoice through it.

Put a job you finished last week through the whole chain and watch where the money lands. That is the only part of this that is hard to argue with.
